Gambia Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) submitted a proposal to ITC on the above subject.
International Trade Centre (ITC) and the World Food Programme (WFP) implemented a joint programme aimed at strengthening food system in Foni. To support this initiative, GWCC developed a 15-page graphic booklet and 10 short documentary videos showcasing youth and women who are actively shaping sustainable food systems across The Gambia.
The project identified 10
individuals involved in agricultural production, horticulture, agro-processing,
distribution, nutrition advocacy and agricultural innovation. The identified
individuals were from KMC, WCR, CRR and URR. Their stories were captured
through interviews, photography and field-based videography. Five of the videos
was promoted through a communication partner with at least 25,000 followers
across three social media platforms.
The
assignment was completed within eight weeks (8) effective February.
