Updated 5 November 2026. This notice explains how the Gambia Women's Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) website handles information and how to manage optional tools.
For privacy questions, corrections or requests to remove a public profile, email info@gamwcc.com or gwcc2019@gmail.com. GWCC's contact address is 2nd Floor Sahel Building, Pipeline Road, Fajara, KMC, The Gambia.
The membership form collects business and primary-contact details, an address, legal status, an AfriMoney mobile number and the registration and TIN documents requested by the form. Contact forms collect the information and messages you enter. Newsletter signup stores your email address. Website accounts, if you register, store your account and profile details.
GWCC uses membership applications to review business details, request missing information and communicate about eligibility, subscription payment and next steps. Contact information is used to respond to enquiries. Newsletter addresses are used for updates. Submitting a membership application does not automatically approve membership or publish a business profile.
A profile is published only after an authorised administrator records the member's permission covering its business information, photo and any listed contact details. Permission records remain in the admin system. Contact GWCC to correct information, request a profile or withdraw permission. Applications and their supporting documents are separate from public profiles.
Applications are stored in the website CMS for review. Supporting documents are stored outside the public media library and are available through authorised admin download links. Application notifications and contact enquiries may also pass through the configured email service and staff mailboxes. GWCC's website host and email providers process information needed to operate those services.
Essential session and security cookies support forms, sign-in and request verification. A preference cookie remembers your choice for up to 180 days. Optional configured analytics, advertising, chat and Google map tools remain off until you choose to allow them. You can change that choice below. Changing a preference stops future optional tools from loading; it does not remove cookies an external provider has already placed.
Fonts are requested from Google Fonts when pages load. If GWCC enables Google's form-security service, reCAPTCHA may contact Google to check form submissions. Your browser sends normal connection information, such as an IP address, when requesting external services. Clicking social, video, payment or business-website links takes you to external services with their own privacy practices.
Applications remain in the CMS until removed by authorised staff. Enquiries and notifications can also remain in staff mailboxes; newsletter addresses remain on the subscriber list until removed. Hosting logs may record connection and error information. Contact GWCC to ask about the information it holds, corrections, removal or stopping newsletter messages. GWCC will respond about how your request can be handled.
Contact forms save the information you submit in a private staff inbox and may also send an email notification. Authorised GWCC staff can record enquiry status and private follow-up notes. Staff may keep private membership records including business and contact details, application references, membership status, joining and renewal dates, and manually checked payment amounts, methods, dates and receipt references. These records are separate from public business profiles and are not published in the directory. Contact GWCC to ask about access, correction or removal of your information.
Essential session cookies remain active. Choose whether to allow configured optional analytics, advertising, chat and map tools. Changing this preference reloads the page. Cookies already placed by an external provider may need to be cleared using your browser settings.
