A three-day farmers market was organized by Shelter for Life International in partnership with GWCC. The event was successfully held from the 24th - 26th of March 2026 at the Westfield Monument. This three-day (3) event was designed to support local farmers, women entrepreneurs, and youth-led businesses by providing them with a platform to showcase and sell their agricultural products while engaging directly with the community.
The
primary objective of the farmers market was to promote locally produced goods
and strengthen market access for small-scale farmers and agribusinesses. In
addition, the initiative aimed to empower women and youth entrepreneurs by
creating opportunities for income generation and business exposure. It also
sought to encourage the public to appreciate and support locally grown and
processed products, thereby contributing to the growth of the local economy.
