GWCC with support from the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) sponsored thirteen (13) members to participate in the 17th edition of OIC Trade Fair at CICES. Dakar, Senegal from 13th - 19th June 2022. The trade fair aimed at increasing trade and other economic activities among the OIC members. The mission was led by GWCC Business Development Officer, Maimuna Sanyang.
Two other members were also part of the eight (8) Gambian businesses supported by Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) through support from Inclusive Growth Promotion and Institution Support Project (IGPISP) - Project Coordination Unit (PCU). Profound gratitude is extended to GIEPA for its collaboration.
During a side event the Director of CICES together with his staff held a meeting with members to discuss how the two institutions can work together, particularly in the organization of trade fairs, exchange of information with regards to trade and economic empowerment for women owned businesses.
